Farmacias Plaza was the first pharmacy network to reopen after the devastating passage of Hurricane

Updated: Jun 18, 2019

With more than 20 years since our establishment, we have constantly affirmed our commitment to the communities we serve. This was especially demonstrated after Hurricane María left the island in utter distress.

Aware of the importance of our people’s health, our colleagues and pharmacists did not waste any time in returning to their work. Even without electricity and fully operating power plants, we were the first pharmacy network in Puerto Rico to start operations after the passage of Hurricane Maria.

There were many stories that made us shudder. However, having been able to provide medications, basic necessities and remain available to our community when they needed us the most, we at Farmacias Plaza and Alivia Health reaffirmed that for us, the patient always comes first.

Throughout 2019, we will be launching programs aimed at women’s health and the elderly. Through these programs, we hope to better serve and contribute positively to the welfare and health of the communities we serve.
